If you have worked in the Timber Trade sector and are struggling to pay your bills, we could help.

Who do we help?

Applicants should have worked in the Timber Trade in the UK for at least ten years (or 5 in exceptional cases) as employees of companies engaged in the trading and distribution of wood-based products. Be in receipt of a low income and have minimal savings. Live within the UK.

The TTBS Charity criteria include the following companies:

  • Timber importers
  • Timber agencies
  • Timber merchants
  • Sheet material importers
  • Trussed rafter fabricators
  • Accredited timber preservation companies

 

Our beneficiary criteria do not include the following:

  • Door, window, staircase & other joinery manufacturers
  • Kitchen & bedroom manufacturers
  • Boat builders
  • Carpenters & joiners or carpentry contractors
  • Forestry operatives and tree surgeons
  • Furniture industry employees (new or second-hand)

What happens next?

The first step is to fill out the form below.

Applications are first looked at by a locally based committee before going to our Trustees for a final decision.

A visit by our volunteers will be required.
