The Northwest committee were delighted to host the annual Christmas Charity Lunch, bringing together colleagues and partners from across the industry for a memorable afternoon of connection, generosity, and celebration.
Guests enjoyed a superb family-style three-course “not Christmas” lunch prepared by the team at the Delta Hotels by Marriot. The welcoming and relaxed setting offered an excellent opportunity for all involved to connect and reflect on the year, whilst networking and look ahead to next year.
Despite the challenging economic climate, the generosity shown by everyone in the room was truly outstanding. Together, we raised over £3,000 in support of #Your Timber Charity helping to provide essential assistance to individuals across our industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to WS Logistics Ltd and Barnswell Timber for sponsoring the cash prize raffle, and to CFS Freight Forwarding for ensuring our ever-popular boozy prize raffle was filled with lots of chances to win and to Zedfix Ltd and Brinor Freight Forwarding who sponsored the act for the day.

Comedian Rudi West delivered a highly successful auction, raising £300 for the signed Everton FC shirt kindly donated by Jenny Keast of Mersey Plas & Ply Ltd.
Paul Snape, National and North West President, addressed attendees with an update on the charity’s evolving initiatives. He highlighted the introduction of mental health first-aider training, currently being funded by TTBS, and reiterated that the charity exists not only to support industry members in retirement, but to assist anyone facing difficulties.
